same product · 3 generation methods · drag or let them spin · 2026-06-15
You flagged the first 3D's texture/color as off. Here are three side-by-side, each a real GLB you can spin. The goal: which one reads truest as black + brushed stainless. All auto-rotate; drag any of them to inspect the back and sides.
Ground truth: the real product — brushed stainless body, black glass touchscreen, black window & base. This is the colour/material target.
v1 · Originalfrom the 600px packshot
The first attempt. Low-res source → muddied texture, washed colour. (What you saw.)
Test #1 · Clean renderfrom our 2K AI product shot
Same method, but built from a crisp 2K render → more detail for the texture baker.
Test #2 · Multi-view ★from 4 angles (front/sides/back)
Fed 4 accurate views → the model sees the real black+stainless from every side. Should be truest.
How to read it
Compare against the ground-truth packshot above. The questions: which has the truest brushed-steel silver (not grey/brown)? Which keeps the black screen/window/base black? And which holds geometry cleanest on the back & sides? Test #2 should win on colour because it was built from accurate views of every face — but you're the judge.
If Test #2 is close but the metal still isn't quite right: the final lever is the PBR material pass — assign true metallic/roughness to the steel in a 3D tool so it actually reflects light. That's the gold-standard finish (relightable, AR-grade) reserved for the hero items. Each of these GLBs already works as Shopify "view in your room" AR as-is.
